As the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) comes into effect in January 2002 for six of the ASEAN countries: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, a new regional order is emerging. Together with the advancement in information technology, ASEAN businesses face great challenges in learning how to succeed and survive in this New Economy. 

On behalf of the ATN Project Team Members, Sibu Municipal Council Members and NITC Malaysia, we are deeply honored and pleased to invite you to participate in this most exciting HRD event--the 1st ATN Conference. This is one of the series of conferences we plan to organize under the endorsement of e-ASEAN.
